Dear Valued Partner in Ministry,

Our God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” That has been our prayer this past year as we do God’s work together. There is much to celebrate, and you share in the credit for what God did in and through Community of Hope! A few of the significant achievements we share together are:

  • We studied the books of Ephesians and Galatians together, as well as the Exodus generation. We also tackled the complex topic of gender and sexuality in April/May.

  • We hosted Gary Lenn for three weeks to teach parents and grandparents how to talk to kids and grandkids about the sensitive issues regarding their sexuality.

  • We launched additional Life Groups to help more people connect in community.

  • We launched the Community MidWeek meal on Wednesdays to share a hot meal and relationships with people in our community who need support. We also have someone giving haircuts each month as an additional way to serve MidWeek meal participants.

  • We hired Kennedy Parker (now Goeglein) as our Worship Arts Leader, and she is doing a great job leading the Worship and Tech ministries.

  • We hired Sadie Tuckerman as our Youth and Children’s Ministries Intern. As she works with Sue Fenker and the youth group team, she is quickly developing her leadership and administrative skills. She is also great with kids and students!

  • We baptized 11 people who publicly professed faith in Jesus!

  • We had three young families Dedicate their babies publicly, meaning they committed to raising their kids in a way that points them to Jesus and invited the church to help them.

  • We launched winter game nights and 3for3 groups to create avenues for relationships.

  • We launched The Brotherhood for men to build spiritual habits with each other.

  • We sent five students and two adults on a ministry trip for a week to Baltimore/Washington D.C. to serve partner churches and learn many great things.

  • We participated in the Ordination of Tim Clay, who is now an Army Reserve Chaplain.

  • We continue to financially support and send teams to help The Happy Church (Mike and Connie Tabor, Jackson, KY). The Tabors blessed us with a visit in July.

  • We continue to financially support SEEDNet (Nathan and Jena Wells, Ashland, OH), who are doing hard work reaching people for Christ and training leaders in hard places.

  • We continue to financially support Destiny Rescue, an organization rescuing girls caught in the awful web of human trafficking around the world.

  • We continue to make visible facility upgrades to better serve our church family and downtown Columbia City neighbors.

  • We filled 40 boxes for Operation Christmas Child to give hope and Christmas gifts to kids in poverty around the world.

  • Most importantly, we continue to shine the light of Jesus in our hopeless and chaotic world for the advancement of the Kingdom of God!

Thank you for financially contributing to God’s work at CofH! As we embark on another year of helping lost, broken, and wounded people find hope and healing in Jesus, we are humbled by your partnership. Thank you again!

With deepest affection and appreciation,

                                                                        Pastor Jeremy
